Library Resources

The St. Cloud State University Library provides a variety of resources for faculty. Whether you are enhancing your curriculum or shaping assignments and projects during the course of the semester, the library can help you.

Not sure where to start? Contact your liaison librarian.

Library Instruction Services

LibSmart allows you to design the library instruction session that will best meet your students’ research needs. A librarian will work with you to help students become efficient, effective and independent researchers who think critically while gathering and using a variety of information resources.

Subject Guides and Course Guides

Librarians can create a subject or course guide tailored to fit your course or program needs. Contact your liaison librarian to request a guide.

Course Reserves

The library’s Course Reserves service allows you to ensure that students have the resources they need for your classes. Contact the Circulation Desk at 320-308-3083 or for more information.

Library Services for Students

Encourage your students to use the library’s reference services. Faculty librarians help students in person, on the phone, and through e-mail. The library also offers a 24/7 chat reference service. Additionally, students can schedule a research consultation with a librarian for more intensive research assistance.

If you have students who are not enrolled but need access to library materials to complete a degree or a course, you can request extension of the StarID and library accounts. Your StarID is needed to access the form. Contact the Circulation Desk at 320-308-3083 for more information.
