Last week I blogged a lot about video games and their negative impacts, while this week I can expand on this stance and relate it to my final research project. Even though I feel that video games are directed more towards men, there are some games that I believe girls enjoy playing as well. An online website that allows people to play games titled, “All fun girls games” is something I came across while browsing the web. By looking at it, my heart instantly sank. “Make me a model” is one of the few game titles where girls can transform a picture to be more beautiful and model-like. Yes it might be fun, but what is the actual message behind the games? My opinion, one is not pretty enough without all the glitz and glam, therefore editing is necessary.
