Pokemon Go
Hello All,

I hope this can be a useful resource for us who might be thinking about teaching/discussing the game in our classes, or are just looking for some context around the game when discussing it with students or colleagues.

Yes, it’s only a game — and it might not directly correlate to enterprise mobile app development — but it certainly reinforces the notion of an app’s fun factor — or, in the corporate world, functionality — being job No. 1. In other words: it’s the idea, stupid. Technical chops pale in comparison to engagement.
Why else would (seemingly) half the world’s population suddenly go nuts over an app plagued by performance glitches?

A handful of the Pokémon in “Pokémon GO” are seemingly only available on certain continents, meaning you can only catch them by flying all over the planet.
That’s not the point of the game, my dudes! Catching Pokémon is fun, but the game’s really about getting outside with friends and family, exploring the real world, and putting a game to that.
