Join the SCSU Wind Ensemble as student conductors take the podium to showcase their skills! Dr. Catharine Bushman will lead the ensemble on several works and music education and music majors Lilly Rhodes, Lindsey Chandler, Maddie Kulus and Grant Kiley will each conduct a piece.
Works will include Hope Salmonson’sI Dance for Myself and Ching-Shan Chang’sAn Eternal Glimpse.Student conductors will be leadingSiciliano by Malcolm Arnold,The Cave You Fear by Michael Markowski,Under the Cherry Blossomsby Randall Standridge andHymnsong on Philip Bliss by David Holsinger.
The concert is free and open to the public! The SCSU Wind Ensemble is traveling to Washington, D.C. this April to perform public concerts and learn more about our country’s histor, visit with military bands and hear the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center for the Arts. Please help students pay for these costs by participating a candy bar or popcorn fundraiser.
