If you are using D2L generated statistics (e.g. time spent by students on D2L, number of time spent on a reading, etc.) and if you are using hyperlinks to discussions, assignments etc, a click from the link posted on the announcement section to, e.g. a discussion thread, will not result in a statistical count

most of the participants in the meeting shared that D2L rubrics are NOT cutting their use of rubrics in the classroom. Some are NOT interested in the “point” system of the D2L rubrics, others cannot replicate the complexity of their rubrics in the D2L frame.
