Women on Wednesday is a program that started shortly after the founding of the SCSU Women’s Center in 1989. For the last three decades, WOW was a signature program, a lunch/learn/lecture series at SCSU. To honor the incredible legacy of this program spanning over three decades, we are keeping the same name, but changing it up a bit this semester!
For this semester, WOW will be an informal opportunity for students to connect, learn from feminist leaders, and get an opportunity to discuss hot political topics and emerging feminist issues in community together!
Do you want to expand the horizon of your feminist knowledge and learning? Are you interested in listening to thought-provoking podcasts on various feminist topics and discussing within an informal, student-led, peer group setting? If yes, this is for you!
Bring a friend–students of all genders are welcome to join us! You are welcome to bring a snack or lunch. The Women’s Center will provide coloring sheets, fidgets, hot chocolate, and tea to enjoy while listening/discussing.
The discussion will be held on Wednesdays, 12 to 1 PM every 2nd and 4th week of the month starting from January 25th in Atwood 220 (Lotus Room). The dates for the discussions are as follows:
