Teens Exposure to The Media

“Every week the average teenage girl spends 31 hours watching TV, 15 hours online, and 3.5 hours looking in the mirror, and exposed to 200 unrealistic advertisements on a daily basis.”

“#1 issue with teens is poor body image.”

“80% of teenage girls are distracted with their appearance.”

“The average model weighs 23% less than the average healthy woman.”

To me, this statistics are truly sad, devastating, and extremely difficult to accept. The YouTube video I attached above shows emotion, examples, and more statistics relating to this huge issue in today’s society. How does one solve this problem? Honestly, I am not sure, but it can start with how Photoshop is used on advertisements.
