The Multicultural Student Services is accepting workshop proposals for the 2019 Power in Diversity Leadership Conference Jan 24-26 at St. Cloud State. Inspired by the recent Nike ad featuring Colin Kaepernick, the theme is Believe in Something.

In its tenth year, the conference offers personal growth and leadership skill development to college students of color and underrepresented students through workshops, keynote addresses and programs. Successful workshop selections will focus on emergent strategies of advocacy, dialogue around beliefs and sacrifice, current social and political events, social justice and activism for college students.

The deadline to submit is Monday, November 26, 2018.

The Power in Diversity Leadership Conference also offers students a forum to connect with peers from colleges and universities across the region. Advisors, faculty and staff who work with student leaders can network and share ideas and strategies.
