Doubt/Debunk (Being Skeptical)

With the stones of critical analysis they cast at themselves scientists build new roads.

The principle of doubt or self-criticism in science requires that all statements claimed to be factual must be rejected until they are shown to be correct by experimental inquiry. This means that all statements of “mental” phenomena must currently be doubted. Only if these phenomena can be demonstrated to be correct by careful experimental inquiry will they be acceptable. A scientist imposes this self-editing on himself/herself. Using this structure, it is necessary to be extremely careful in explaining traditional “mental phenomena” in behavioral-analysis terms.

Be Skeptical, Don’t Just Accept Everything – yes, including this message!

The person who is at the top is a person who has learned to get to the bottom of things.

Respect will get you many things, but doubt is what gives you an education.
