From the Archives! (March 2020)

Although the 2020 Spring Leadership Institute was canceled for this spring, we would still like to recognize and congratulate our Christine M. Imbra Innovative Leadership Award winner.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Sarnicki is this year’s recipient of the Innovative Leadership Award! She is the Director of Student Conduct and Programs at St. Cloud State University and a recent graduate of the SCSU Higher Education doctoral program. To recognize her, we would like to highlight some of her achievements recognized by the professionals who nominated her.

In 2015, she was recognized internationally by being selected as the Student Conduct Administrator of the Year by the Student Conduct Administration (ASCA). She has worked with the St. Cloud Police Department to be a community builder and has been recognized by winning the Central Minnesota Optimist Respect for the Law Award. She has been a teacher and mentor and fosters inclusiveness and appreciation for campus diversity by managing the Respect and Responsibility program on campus. She puts students’ needs first, as highlighted by her excellent management of a grant for student parents with unique needs.
