It seems like everyone is Irish on March 17th, but we wanted to celebrate Minnesotan Irish heritage all year round. We are all students of the Social Media for Professional Writers ENGL 437/537 class at Saint Cloud State University.

About Our Writers

Kendra Carbert

Kendra is in her Junior year at Saint Cloud State University.  She is majoring in Professional Writing, Media and Rhetoric and after graduation plans on working in the publishing industry although she is open to other careers.  Outside of classes and working, Kendra enjoys reading, writing, and watching cheesy movies with friends and family.

 

Bennett Ryan

Bennett spent his life after high school working, living, and traveling all over the country with his career in the oilfields. After a Traumatic Brain Injury laid him out and change the course of his life forever, he had to give up his career in manual labor. Bennett started going to college, at first he majored in Mechanical Engineering, but switched majors to Professional Writing, Media, and Rhetoric. He was always blessed with a talent for writing and he finally decided to pursue to natural gift at Saint Cloud State University. After graduation Bennett plans to work as a Technical Writer in the medical device industry or become a writer in the video game world. Either direction he takes, he also plans on continuing to publish his own fiction and poetry on Kindle.

Lauren Julian

Lauren is a fourth year at St. Cloud State University, she is double major in English with and emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing and Biology, she also has a minor in Psychology. After graduation this spring she is planning to go to physicians assistant school. Lauren is a part of the Track and Field team at St. Cloud state where she is a thrower. She currently works three jobs keeping herself very busy, so coffee is very important to her. Lauren really enjoys traveling, trying new breweries, and shopping in her free time.

Courtney Strom

Courtney is in her final stretch of college education at Saint Cloud State, majoring in English and Literature. After graduation she plans on moving to the Phoenix metro and finding her place in the writing and reading world. When not in class or serving coffee to book enthusiasts at Barnes and Noble, Courtney is usually at home listening to podcasts and conjuring up ideas for new projects.
