Hi!

Our names are Tameya and Mary. We are both students at St. Cloud State University, both taking a class focused around using digital platforms for social justice campaigns, and both very interested in bringing awareness to child abuse, a sickening crime that must be stopped!

We hope to bring awareness to child abuse. We hear about a lot of social justice movements that have taken off on social media and we’d love to see ours do the same thing. We realize that within the scope of the class and the fact that the semester is almost over, we may not be able to have a huge impact. However, we have been inspired by the success of movements such as the Black Lives Matter movement and the #metoo movement, and we’d like to run our campaign in a similar manner.

That said, we created Instagram and Twitter pages. We encourage you to follow along! We will also use #kidslivesmatter to consolidate our posts as well as posts from people who may join our campaign! We encourage you to use our hashtag as a way to bring light to child abuse, this very sad and tragic social justice topic.
