Free Movies !!

FREE MOVIES

By Marsa Mason

You can see movies and…. YES, it is totally FREE ! I have been seeing movies at the movie theater for years without paying. Sometimes you even get free popcorn, drinks, posters, and giveaways. It is super fun to see the movie before it comes out for no cost. The reason this is offered is to help with reviews for the movie. You can give a review online or in person after you have seen the movie. I use the website Gofobo . You can do| Movie Screenings, Movie Reviews, Sweepstakes, Movie Trailers, and more.

You will get emails from this site when a prescreener is coming up. You can also check the website periodically to get your tickets first. Due to the movie being free the website does get alot of traffic. Gofobo is not the only site. There is the website Advance Movie Screenings (advancescreenings.com) You must register on each site to start getting movie tickets to your email.

The Last website that you can register to see movies before they come out is on Amazon. Amazon Screenings

This website allows you to see movies and shows that Amazon will put on this website. You can see them before they come out see if it is something you want to continue to watch on Amazon. What I love is the cost of it being free and I get to see the movies before they come out in the theatre. As a college student I want to relax and laugh, and this allows me to do so for FREE! You can save your money for concessions if you like.

I definitely recommend that you register on these sites as giving your opinions will help with reviews for movies. You win by having fun, getting free stuff, and voicing your opinion!

Free groceries

Hey Guys!

So glad you came back for week 2!!

Food is expensive and we have to use all our money for books for college, so we have to find ways to still eat good! I wanted to give you a couple of options of free groceries options. St. Cloud State has a food pantry that is absolutely wonderful!  They give you a reusable bag and they have so many options for food. If you want frozen food, dairy, eggs, grains or fruits and veggies. They have individual rooms for the items. You don’t have to ask as the rooms are clearly labelled of what is in each room.

They have an option where you can get assistance with getting SNAP which is government assistance for getting groceries as well. They add money from the government each month so that you can obtain groceries. As college students this a great resource as well so that you can go grocery shopping without a lot of worry.  You may also be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. If you want to see if you may be eligible for SNAP benefits, take the SNAP Eligibility Screening Survey. The screening survey is available to current registered students and requires log-in with your Office 365 account (starid@go.minnstate.edu and StarID password)

This is from the St. Cloud State Website Huskies Food Pantry | St. Cloud State University (stcloudstate.edu) The information below is directly from this page as well.

How to Utilize the Huskies Food Pantry

The Huskies Food Pantry will be open in Hill Hall, Room 190 on the following days for walk-in service and donation drop-offs*:

Free Movies before they come out!!

As college students we need to be able to enjoy life and also due to the cost of college we need to make sure are using the money we have wisely. College life is stressful and so are movies and that is not even including concessions at the movies. I love movies and I enjoy not paying anything to see them. THAT’S RIGHT FOR FREE!!! To do this you will need to register for www.gofobo.com or www. advancescreenings.com. You will be able to see the movie before your friends and family. You will see pre-screeners as they call them.

The reason they allow this is they need your feedback and options on how the movie was and what you would like to see changed. It helps the producers, advertiser, and profit for them. Do you ever wonder how do they get those quotes for the commercials for the movies? Example: “It was riveting, or this movie is what everyone needs to see!” These quotes are coming from individuals feedback that have seen the movie before it came out. There is no paperwork you will just verbally give your opinion and feedback and they write it down.

Things you need to know:

1.) When you receive an email, you want to click on it as soon as possible because the movies fill up fast.

2) You need to arrive to the theater early as it is free so it will be a line. Bring a chair to mark your spot or to sit while you wait.

3) The screenings are located in St. Louis Park, Roseville, Edina, and sometimes in Minneapolis.

4) You will only be able to get 2 tickets and there are sometimes where you can get up to 4. If you don’t have all of your people with you it can cause an issue, so make sure you have enough or don’t have to many tickets.

5) There are giveaways at some of the screenings such as gift cards, shirts, bags, free photobooth with props, fun activities, and very rare you even get free popcorn!!
