As I was browsing the web, I came across an interesting article, more like a photo gallery, of celebrities that faced dramatic edits in Photoshop. This article shows the before and after of Photoshop. Due to the fact that I am starting my own Photography business, I understand the fundaments of editing a image. However, there is a difference between editing and altering. When I think of editing an image, I think of adjusting the lighting, contrast, clarity, clearing the skin, and other minor details, on the other hand altering can be completely different. In my opinion, altering an image can mean changing the overall appearance of the model by making his/her arm smaller or bigger, breasts larger, legs taller, and face completely more defined. This is not editing, this is transforming the model into a completely different figure.
