Why did you choose to attend IEC?
“My brother and 15 of my cousins were already attending the Intensive English Center when I was in Saudi Arabia. They told me that the IEC is a good place to learn English. One of my cousins helped me a lot when I was applying to IEC.”
What makes IEC Special?
“Teachers understand the students, and they are very helpful in class and outside class during the office hour. The tuition is very affordable compared to many other English centers. The city of St. Cloud is a safe place for students.”
What are you hoping to achieve this semester?
“My goal right now is to pass my classes and skip level 4 if possible.”
What are your favorite things to do when you are not at school or studying?
“I like hanging out with my cousins and my classmates. I like to play video games and visit some friends. Two weeks ago, few of my classmates tried some Arabic coffee at my place. We went to SCSU Hockey Center to watch a hockey game.”
What courses have been your favorite so far?
“Structure and Listening & Speaking have been my favorite classes so far. The teachers that are teaching those two classes are very friendly and make the class fun.”
What advice do you have for the incoming students?
“Stay warm during winter.”
What has been your greatest challenge?
“I came to the United States. I was not able to understand very well people when they are talking to me in English. Now, thanks to IEC, I really improved my listening, speaking, and writing skills. I am able to understand my classmates and my professors if they are talking to me and I feel more confident when I am talking to people.”
What is your favorite spot on campus?
“My favorite spot on campus is located in Atwood, especially the Underground. I like this place because I can buy some food and play games.”
