On TransWellBeing, all of the blog members have shared some very interesting posts and conversations about some of the best black, trans people of color within the state and across the country. There are so many that have made an impact within the cities that they currently live in. Whether its trans rights in the city of Minneapolis to gay marriage, there is something to be proud of.

In today’s post, we will talk about Roxanne Anderson.

Anderson is a strong queer activist within the twin cities and has been doing so for over the last 20 years. Roxanne wants to see LGBTQ people thrive and become leaders in their community.

Currently, Roxanne does various projects in the city, which includes managing her own consulting firm, appointed as the 2018 Bush Fellow and running her own radio show in Minneapolis.

During her time as a Bush Fellow, their job was to understand the best practices to find ways to bring the community together. This resulted in making an center dedicated for Trans and GNC BIPOC (Gender Non-Binary) individuals. They also does her own show weekly on KFAI 90.3, where she talks about different issues in the community and brings on special guests to showcase.

Even with the challenges of the pandemic, they continues to make BIPOC voices heard through the airwaves and virtually.
